Erica & Harry

Erica and Harry’s wedding was a dream. From the moment I walked into the bridal suite at Running Deer, I knew it was going to be a fun wedding. Erica was already having a blast with her girls, and the hair and makeup team were professional, on schedule, but also so much fun to work with. Their incredible photographer Brianna arrived around the same time, and took some gorgeous detail photos. I always ensure every couple has a shoebox full of their smaller detail items (shoes, jewelry, invitation suite, etc.) ready to hand over upon arrival, so this magic can happen!

Erica and Harry decided not to see each other before the ceremony, however they did opt for a first touch while they read their vows privately. This is such a nice way to get some photos “together” and get some of the wedding jitters and emotions out before walking down the aisle. It’s also great for anyone who may not want to share their private vows in front of all their family and friends. Their videography team, Soul Narrative Studios, made sure to get it all on video too, so they can watch this intimate moment along with their ceremony.

The Running Deer Timbers created the most romantic atmosphere for Erica and Harry’s ceremony. Erica fell in love with the white florals and gorgeous decor from every millennials favorite vampire movie, Twilight, and Jacqueline’s Flowers did an amazing job creating this vision. How romantic is this two piece arbor and rose petal aisle?! The centerpieces matched perfectly, and with the candles all lit, the reception was stunning.

The ceremony was beautiful and full of smiles, laughter, and love. Once the ceremony ended, their guests headed to cocktail hour while Erica and Harry did a magazine worthy photoshoot with Bee Serene. As stated by Brianna, they knew how to pose, and photographed beautifully.

After photos, Erica and Harry finally got to sit down and enjoy all the food from cocktail hour. This is one task that I always assign myself as a coordinator, however Running Deer was on it, with a plate of appetizers and signature drinks ready from the moment these newlyweds walked inside. I always recommend taking a private moment during cocktail hour. It’s likely the only time that you will have alone during the wedding, and it gives you a chance to take it all in. Erica and Harry took their moment, and then joined cocktail hour with her guests.

They decided to be introduced into the ballroom with their wedding party all together, and then jumped right into their first dance. The rest of the formalities (parent dances and toasts) followed, and then it was time to eat. It didn’t take long after dinner for DJ Austin from Smooth Event Group to get the crowd up and dancing. Erica and Harry opted for a private cake cutting (it wasn’t announced by the DJ) and then the Chocolate Room full of mini desserts and coffee opened for their guests. You know it’s a fun crowd when all the guests dance across the floor with their dessert, only to quickly finish it and run back to the dance floor!

Erica and Harry’s wedding was magic. Erica’s vision was stunning, and it was executed perfectly thanks to an amazing team of vendors. If you’re interested in learning more about any of these vendors, I have them all linked below!
